شارك السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي في مأدبة العشاء التي أقامتها غرفة التجارة الأمريكية

 وبحضور كلٍ من النائب الأول لرئيس الغرفة التجارية الأمريكية ورئيس مجلس الأعمال المصري الأمريكي، بالإضافة إلى رؤساء ومديري العديد من كبري الشركات الأمريكية.

وصرح السفير بسام راضي، المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية، بأن العشاء شهد حواراً مفتوحاً مع ممثلي قطاع الأعمال الأمريكي الحاضرين، والذين أبدوا اهتماماً بالعمل فى مصر أو التوسع فى مشروعاتهم القائمة، حيث أكد السيد الرئيس حرص مصر على التواصل المستمر مع المستثمرين للتعرف على المشاكل والمعوقات التي تواجههم والعمل على حلها وتذليل كافة العقبات أمامهم، معرباً سيادته عن تقديره للدور الذي تقوم به غرفة التجارة الأمريكية ومجلس الأعمال المصري الأمريكي في دعم العلاقات الاقتصادية والتجارية بين مصر والولايات المتحدة، ومشيراً إلى أهمية دور القطاع الخاص في هذا الإطار كقاطرة للنمو من خلال زيادة الاستثمارات ونقل المعرفة والخبرات بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين.

كما نوه السيد الرئيس إلى المباحثات المثمرة التي أجراها سيادته اليوم مع الرئيس “ترامب” في البيت الأبيض، لا سيما على الصعيد الاقتصادي، حيث تم التركيز على سبل تطوير التعاون الاقتصادي وتعظيم حجم التبادل التجاري بين البلدين وزيادة الأنشطة الاستثمارية للشركات الأمريكية في مصر، خاصةً في ضوء التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ برنامج الإصلاح الاقتصادي الشامل وتهيئة البنية التشريعية والمؤسسية لجذب المزيد من الاستثمارات الأجنبية إلى مصر.

وقد أشاد الحضور بالتقدم المحرز على صعيد جهود الإصلاح الاقتصادي في مصر، لا سيما من خلال التدابير التي تم اتخاذها لتحسين بيئة الاستثمار وتشجيعه، فضلاً عن المشروعات القومية الكبرى الجاري تنفيذها، والتي أسهمت في أن تكون مصر نموذج وقصة نجاح يحتذى بها على صعيد التعاون مع صندوق النقد الدولي، مع الإعراب عن الحرص على العمل خلال الفترة المقبلة على تعزيز الاستثمارات الأمريكية في مصر في مختلف المجالات، لا سيما الصحة والطاقة والتكنولوجيا والسياحة.

وأضاف السفير بسام راضي أن السيد الرئيس أكد اعتزام مصر مواصلة جهود الإصلاح والتطوير فى ظل تنفيذ الاستراتيجية الوطنية لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة 2030، مشدداً سيادته على تقدير مصر للعلاقة الاستراتيجية الخاصة مع الولايات المتحدة، وترحيبنا في هذا الصدد بتزايد نشاط الشركات الأمريكية العاملة في مصر.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Tuesday a dinner hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. The dinner was also attended by the Chamber’s vice-president, chairman of the Egypt-U.S. Business Council and CEOs of major American companies.

During the dinner, there was an open discussion with the representatives of the U.S. business sector in attendance who showed interest in doing or expanding business in Egypt. President El Sisi affirmed Egypt’s keenness to continue communicating with the investors to know more about the obstacles they face and help overcome them. He expressed his appreciation for the role of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Egypt-U.S. Business Council in bolstering economic and trade relations between Egypt and the U.S. The President also noted the importance of the private sector in this regard as an engine for growth through the increase of investment and transfer of knowledge and expertise to serve the interests of both countries.

The President noted the fruitful talks that he had held earlier with President Trump in the White House, especially at the economic level and ways to enhance economic cooperation and trade between the two countries and to increase the investment of American companies in Egypt. This is in light of progress made on the economic reform program and creating a legislative and institutional infrastructure to attract more foreign investment.

The attendees lauded the progress of the economic reform program, especially measures taken to improve and encourage investment, in addition to the mega national projects underway that contributed to setting an example of successful cooperation with the IMF. They expressed keenness to work on increasing U.S. investment in Egypt in various sectors, particularly in the health, energy, technology and tourism sectors.

President El Sisi confirmed Egypt’s determination to continue reform efforts and development in light of implementing the national strategy to achieve sustainable development 2030. He also emphasized that Egypt appreciates the special and strategic relations with the U.S. and that it welcomes more U.S. business activity.
